I am a teacher advocate!
Are teachers leaving your school? Is morale low? Are there whispers in the halls? A general lack of participation and enthusiasm?
The symptoms of unsupported teachers can also be seen in student behavior, low parent participation, and possibly even low student academic performance.
THERE IS AN ANSWER!
You may have tried everything! You give your teachers more training, jeans days, help the students by providing SEL support, implement restorative justice, and more.
You can turn everything around by supporting your teachers! Giving them the time and space to be whole healthy professional humans that can make classroom magic!!
It CAN be done and I can help you! It requires a little outside of the box thinking, an analysis of what currently is, and the belief that your teachers have power!
April really held such a compassionate space and I felt her present with my process the whole time even though I felt like I was talking a lot. Her questions were provoking a deeper interest in my process These practices are awesome! I'm learning so much and I was surprised at how comfortable I felt during the sessions with April!!
April circled back to things I mentioned were important and was curious, using great open-ended questions to dive deeper the session flowed well, April left plenty of time for my own reflection and curiosity to blossom
She did a great job. Even with all I presented, she maintained great objectivity and understanding of the issues. She was a great help and allowed for me to focus more clearly on how to move forward on will and these issues. More to come. April's skills, intelligence, and
fellow feeling are remarkable. Her experience in the teaching profession and her empathy will be very helpful as she moves forward with coaching in psychosynthesis.
I love how she challenges my thoughts, and is always willing to offer some humor.
She totally embodies the essence of seeing the client as creative, resourceful, and whole. She makes me feel valuable, seen, and validated.
April did an incredible job. At one point I said "eh I guess I feel complete" And she said, "let's ground in it a bit more" which was exactly what I needed in the moment. Her willingness to trust her instinct that there was still more to discuss REALLY benefited me in this session.
